Race Weekend....#5001

Let's just start with the good stuff, shall we?  RACING!  We are winding down our marathon of a season and we had a great weekend of racing.  A third in Heavy Honda, a first in points in Unrestricted Animal, and a fourth in a big class in Heavy 160 with some awesome out of town drivers coming down.   Still the heavy weight champion of the track LOL!

Andrew didn't win the feature as Dash was the winner, but Andrew won in points thanks to Dash not doing the heat race.  It's weird and I wish our club would re-think how we do points as it's old and antiquated and no tracks do that system anymore.

Keep your fingers crossed because we may have some interest in the cars.  We plan on keeping one to see if we can race next year, but all else must go so we can get a new car.  I'm starting to get super emotional about leaving this sport behind, but also in a way super relived.  If you've followed along on my journey at all, you know the ups and downs.  How this has totally wrecked (a pun) my emotional wellbeing at times.  I mean heck, I do credit this sport with getting back into therapy to work on my people pleasing and my lack of boundaries.  This week I was accused of things and called things I have never been called before.  Sigh.  All I can say is that I have showed up for 7 straight years FOR THE KIDS and I can lay my head on my pillow every night knowing that I did the right thing.  That I have had moments where I literally broke down in my car before wiping my face and heading into that tower so that the KIDS get to race.  I have also puked in garbage cans I was so stressed and yes, people tell me all the time that I should just walk away but I didn't.  AND I won't till our time at the club is done.

I love these assholes.  Even when they make my life tough.  I can't wait to see what they do continuing this club on when we are gone.

Okay enough of that.  We had football, we had working out and even running this week.  Overall, it was a good week and we will build on that and move forward.  Onward!
