Okay running super behind and am home sick, so you get a sentencish per picture.
Maybe too big to get on some of the equipment, but never too old. He said, "Mom, I really miss recess." 6th grade has been a hard transition, especially when maturity wise he's still not totally on par with the other kids in his grade.
Three runs done. Not much mileage thanks to my crazy weekend, but still running. My new work out coach was asking what I was training for and while I do miss it a little, I sure am enjoying getting what I get when I get it and not worrying about how much.
Okay these loaded all out of order, but here is the gist of my weekend. I wanted to go to KC and go to as many breweries as my liver could handle. I hit up one of my good friends and she opened her home and her car and off we went. She even took me to a Mexican coffee shop the next day where I had the best empanadas I have ever had and some spicy mocha goodness.
Pathlight brewery. Our last stop. We played games and had fun with her neighborhood friends. It feels so good to just be welcomed in like I was part of their group. The Mexican food truck parked outside had some amazing food as well. I wanted to try lots of beers so mainly stayed away from my heavy stouts and porters that I usually love. I honestly don't remember what this beer was but it was yummy.
Okay, this was my fav brewery, but the group was not a fan. Servaes brewery was a cute little brewery in Shawnee Kansas. I had a cream ale that was delightful. I loved the space and the vibe as it was FULL of families just having a great time drinking amazing beer. I will be back.
Just brewery hopping and passing the KC wheel. Will I ever get in it, NOPE, but it's cool to see.
We started at Crane brewery, which is right off of a huge biking and running trail. I would totally love to have something like this locally. If they would hurry up and build all of these trail systems they keep talking about, maybe we could do just that. The red beer was a sour and it was AMAZING!
My sweet baby angel is leaving me. She got into vet school again and is leaving at the end of March. She has made life so much fun lately and I will miss her dearly. I am going to go visit her at some point when she is down there. I am excited for her but also sad to see her go. She has been a great teammate in research and I have enjoyed watching her grow as a scientist.
Heading to the slaughter house at sun rise. I love these flint hills with the sun rising.
Team building at work. I had two engineers on my team, so we totally kicked butt (not everyone followed instructions so ignore the tower in the foreground as we won).
Huh, what? I don't think I had good sleep at all last week, but okay Garmin.
Have a great week y'all (especially since it's almost half way done).
