September Runfessions a little late!

Whoops!  I normally keep a running commentary on my runfessions so I can just hit publish and I totally forgot this month!  Let's dive in with some delicious Pumpkin Wheat from Blue Moon! Yeah i know, pumpkin beer, but i LOVE it and can't wait till it comes out every year.  Just make fun of me and get it over with :)

I runfess I am already looking at all the races this winter/spring and formulating a plan.  My PF flares and then goes away and flares again, and I think it's just a part of me that won't go away.  I didn't have any issues during my last race, so why not push on and see what i can do?  I think just the limited Cross fit sessions I have done have helped immensely.  I haven't had any issues with my back/hip and I hope that continues.

I runfess, thus far, Andrew is having a GREAT school year.  We aren't seeing issues with his nervous tummy, he seems to be progressing on both math and reading, and claims he LOVES writing.  We have parent teacher conferences coming up in October and I can't wait to hear what his teacher says. All of his sylvan conferences have been amazing with most of his assessment testing being at 100%.

The one that got me into this cross fit journey
I runfess, I am excited to start this Cross Fit journey, but I also runfess that I am a little scared as to how I am going to fit it in.  I have asked lots of people how they run and lift, and I have gotten mixed answers.  Some say it is too hard on your body to also run and seriously train, but then I have heard the exact opposite.  My BRF is going 4-5 times a week and running, so I know it is possible.  I am leaning towards keeping my running the same and then working out at cross fit on my tuesday/thursday runs.  I am probably not going to be doing much structured speed work other than fartleks and small repeats for time, so doing hard work outs and running on the same day should be okay.   If you have experience otherwise, please let me know!

Okay I think that is enough runfessing!  Onward to fall and October!
